The Shiver of the Vampires – DVD
Jean Rollin’s wonderfully surreal 1971 French vampire film blends gothic horror, eroticism and dreamlike imagery as a honeymooning couple arrive at a mysterious chateau inhabited by a strange collection of vampires. Beautifully atmospheric and deliberately bizarre, it’s classic European cult cinema with Rollin’s distinctive visual style.
This Salvation Films DVD includes the theatrical trailer, stills gallery, posters, advertising and video art, plus the bonus The Nun / White Slaves music video. The case lists a 96-minute runtime, French audio with English subtitles and an 18 certificate. A great cult DVD for fans of Jean Rollin and vintage Euro-horror.
