Douglas Trumbull’s thoughtful sci-fi classic stars Bruce Dern as Freeman Lowell, a botanist aboard the Valley Forge, one of several spacecraft preserving the last surviving plant life from a devastated Earth. When the crew receives orders to destroy the botanical domes, Lowell rebels and sets off into deep space with only the ship’s adorable robot drones Huey and Dewey for company.
