Videodrome – Criterion Collection - DVD
David Cronenberg’s disturbing sci-fi body-horror classic stars James Woods and Debbie Harry. When Max Renn, a cable TV executive, discovers a mysterious broadcast featuring extreme violence, he becomes drawn into a nightmarish world where television, hallucination and reality begin to merge. Unsettling, grotesque and packed with bizarre imagery, Videodrome remains one of the most influential cult films of the 1980s.
This Criterion Collection two-disc special edition is loaded with extras, including two audio commentaries, the short film Camera, a documentary on the film’s special effects, the Fear on Film discussion featuring Cronenberg, John Carpenter and John Landis, plus original trailers, rare production photos and a 40-page booklet. Presented in 1.85:1 widescreen with English mono audio, it’s a superb collector’s edition for fans of Cronenberg and classic body horror
