The infamous first live-action adaptation of Nintendo’s iconic video game, starring Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper. Mario and Luigi are transported to a strange parallel world ruled by the sinister King Koopa, resulting in a wonderfully bizarre mix of sci-fi, fantasy and comedy. A famously unconventional ’90s movie that has since gained a strong cult following.

This UK DVD is packed with extras, including the 60-minute “This Ain’t No Video Game” documentary, a Making Of, original electronic press kit and behind-the-scenes/storyboard galleries. The film is presented in 16:9 widescreen, with Dolby Digital 5.1 / stereo audio, making this a particularly nice collector’s edition for fans of this wonderfully strange piece of ’90s movie history.
